Evening Team Lead – Pet Care Plus

Pet Care Plus is seeking an Evening Team Lead to manage our evening operations, ensuring the highest standards of care for every pet in our facility. Position Overview

• Shift: 1:00 PM to 9:00/10:00 PM
• Compensation: Starting at $20-$22 per hour (based on experience)
• Job Type: Full-Time, 35-40 hours per week
• Location: Pet Care Plus, West Loop
• Requirements: Valid driver’s license, 3-5 years of experience in dog daycare, boarding, or veterinary settings, medication administration skills, and strong leadership qualities.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead and motivate the PM kennel team, setting daily objectives, delegating tasks, and fostering a positive, efficient work environment. Provide training, guidance, and feedback to maintain high standards of care. ️
• Facility Management: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout kennel areas, ensuring that all safety and hygiene standards are met for both animals and staff. ✨
• Health & Wellness Monitoring: Oversee animal health, behavior, and comfort, addressing any concerns promptly and reporting to the Resort Manager as necessary.
• Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by management, ensuring accurate dosages and timings. ⏱️
• Evening Playgroup Coordination: Organize and facilitate evening playgroups, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment tailored to each dog's needs for exercise and socialization. ‍
• Client Communication: Provide exceptional customer service by keeping pet owners informed about their pets’ stay, addressing any special instructions, and ensuring owners feel confident in our care.
• Accountability & Standards: Set clear expectations for PM staff, holding team members accountable to facility policies and best practices. Provide feedback and address performance issues as needed. ✅

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a dog daycare, boarding, or veterinary environment.
• Animal Care Knowledge: Strong understanding of animal handling techniques, medication administration, and best practices in animal care.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to supervise and inspire a team, with effective delegation skills and the ability to maintain high morale and productivity.
• Customer Service Skills: Professional communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members.
• Attendance & Punctuality: Superior attendance is a priority at Pet Care Plus. We expect every team member to be reliable and punctual, which means arriving early to prepare for the shift and ensure smooth, on-time operations.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle physically demanding tasks. ️‍♀️
• Availability: Must be available to work holidays as required to meet client and pet care demands.
