Job Description

BDR Solutions, LLC (BDR) supports the U.S. Federal Government in successfully achieving their mission and goals. Our service and solution delivery start with understanding each client's end-state and then seamlessly integrating within each Agency's organization to improve and enhance business and technical operations and deployments.

Role Overview:

The Junior Web Developer will support the modernization and development of secure, scalable, and user-friendly Progressive Web Applications (PWAs. This role is hands-on with full-stack development and will design, build, test, and sustain software capabilities using Agile practices. The Junior Developer will contribute directly to feature delivery, technical enhancements, and bug fixes, ensuring secure and resilient operations while meeting interoperability and cybersecurity requirements. This position is primarily remote with travel as requested. It requires availability during EST business hours. US Citizenship is required with a Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):

  • Develop and modernize large-scale web applications using modern front-end technologies (such as React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS) and PWA best practices.
  • Develop and modernize large-scale web applications for the Military Health System using
  •  React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and PWA best practices.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of developers, UX designers, product managers, and QA testers to deliver accessible, intuitive applications that support the clients mission goals.
  • Provide enhancements and ongoing maintenance for existing applications, ensuring security, performance, and compliance.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code across both front-end and back-end systems.
  • Integrate APIs and microservices, supporting cloud and container-based environments.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, and provide timely status updates.
  • Contribute to team velocity by sharing knowledge, peer reviewing code, and recommending process improvements.
  • Support ongoing research and evaluation of emerging technologies, including blockchain, real-time systems, and infrastructure automation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience/education/training)
  • 1+ years of full-stack web application development - MVC, with ASP.NET Core, an open-source web development framework | .NET Web Forms a plus
  • Experience in Microsoft development - Visual Studio, IIS, and SQL Server.
  • Experience with C#, JavaScript/Typescript, Tailwind CSS, React, HTML5, SQL scripting, NodeJS.
  • Experience utilizing agile methodologies through all phases of software development lifecycles
  • Docker / Kubernetes /Containerization experience is a plus.
  • MongoDB and SQL experience are a plus.
  • Hyperledger/Blockchain experience is a plus.
  • API, web service, Microservice, cloud service development a plus.
  • Experience using GIT, using GIT repositories, and utilizing GIT best practices
  • Experience using Sitecore is a plus
  • Security+ Certification strongly desired.
  • Background check with the ability to obtain a Public Trust

  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
