12 month renewable term contract. Potential to extend / option to hire.

Hybrid work schedule. Work remote on Friday.

Client: A major global corporation and leader in their industry operating over 350 manufacturing facilities with annual revenue over $24B and employing over 15,000.

Overview:

The primary role is to manage the day-to-day activities of the team responsible for project deliverables including collaboration on the project’s performance (scope, time, quality, cost, risk, benefits) with focus on resource planning, scheduling, tracking of metrics / KPIs, status reporting and communication.

Role:

• Create and maintain project plan including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, reporting processes, and assigning tasks to resources. Keeping the project aligned to goals and proactively escalate issues to stay on time and schedule.
• Apply project management methodologies and best practices to deliver a world-wide deployment schedule for implementation across plant and headquarters locations.
• Provide input to manage and control project budget including tracking cost projections vs. actual costs.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and create reports highlighting the KPIs that are below targets.
• Coordinate root cause analysis when targets are not met and support the implementation of solutions.
• Ensure accurate tracking of all issues, risks, concerns with communication of status to management, stakeholders, business partners and other departments in a timely manner.
• Facilitate the testing and deployment of software releases delivered by 3rd party vendor.
• Ensure compliance to all corporate standards, methods, processes, and tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or business management required.
• 7 - 10+ years of experience in a project manager role for a large project.
• 5+ years of experience with either traditional Waterfall SDLC or Agile / Lean methodologies.
• Experience planning and coordinating a team training schedule.
• Experience planning and coordinating a testing schedule
• Experience managing project schedule including the tracking budget and cost and vendor management.
• Strong ability in using Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
