  • Create a safe and engaging community of self-guided learners.
  • Collaborate with the Math department to set academic and engagement goals.

2. Data Analysis

  • Partner with families to provide resources that support their child's learning needs.
  • Engage in professional development, mentorship, and coaching sessions.
  • Participate in weekly school-wide meetings to cultivate community and encourage student achievement.
  • Collaborate with your grade-level team to develop academic goals and instructional strategies.

Qualifications

  • A commitment to the mission of Uncommon Schools and a vision for being an anti-racist organization.
  • A passion for supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating with partners in the best interest of students.
  • A self-directed learner who actively seeks and implements feedback.
  • Required Experience:
    • Academic expertise in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
    • A demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools (1-2 years experience preferred).
    • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required. Teacher certification is not a prerequisite, but you must meet NJ state certification eligibility requirements.
