Job Overview The Freezer Department Personal Shopper is responsible for packing grocery items and other goods, scanning items for order completion, and ensuring the customer’s goods are well protected. This role does not require previous experience. Responsibilities Packs grocery items and other goods, ensuring fragile items are protected. Processing (picking + scanning + packing). Follow safe food practices specific to the department. Assist with housekeeping of the department. Maintain excellent safety, quality, cleanliness, and productivity standards within the distribution warehouse. Audit product for quality. Contribute to team efforts by assisting others when needed. Working Conditions Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Workday involves standing/walking 6–10 hours or more. Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling. Motion: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. Exposure to FDA‑approved cleaning chemicals, loud noises, flashing lights. Constant exposure to temperatures: Work in wet and cold environment. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Use of tools: box cutters, electric pallet jacks, other heavy machinery. Ability to work in other areas of the business as needed. Education & Qualifications Must be able to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Must be able to work holidays. Must be able to start overnight or early morning hours (start times vary by department). Comfortable in warehouse/production environment. Meet production and accuracy standards in a fast‑paced work environment. Able to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, twist, kneel, reach, turn, and bend for long periods. Lift a minimum of 40 lbs intermittently during a typical work shift. Work 8–12 hr shifts; overtime is mandatory. Work in climate from -10 °F to 0 °F. Wearing oil‑ and slip‑resistant shoes required. Demonstrate company values and culture. Compensation Hourly range: $17.50 – $17.50. Compensation may vary based on experience and skills.
