They are seeking a Director of FP&A who will analyze data and advise the President on using financial information to make strategic decisions about the company’s future. This opportunity will spearhead the entire Finance department and has an opportunity for upwards growth.

Job Details Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all company accounts and investments.
2. Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
3. Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
4. Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants.
5. Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing.
6. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
7. Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
8. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
9. Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
10. Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
11. Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
12. Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
13. Report to the CFO with timely and accurate financial information.
14. Assist the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Financial Controller role should have the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree in the same fields would be a plus.
2. 5+ years of proven experience in a financial controller role.
3. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is required.
4. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
5. Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
6. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP).
7. An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
8. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
9. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
10. Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
11. Experience in the utilities industry is highly preferred but not mandatory.
