About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Central South Carolina Chapter. This pivotal role is focused on external community relations, with a primary responsibility for blood sponsor relationship management, fundraising, and managing the local Board of Directors. The successful candidate will be the face of the organization in the chapter territory, influencing community and government stakeholders, and working to achieve specific monthly, quarterly, and annual goals. The Executive Director will also be responsible for enhancing the community presence, cultivating key partnerships, and ensuring the organization's mission is effectively represented and supported. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a four-year college degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and a minimum of 5 years' related experience. Strong communication, influencing, and public speaking skills are essential, as is a proven track record in fundraising and building community relationships. The role requires a leader with the ability to manage a team, including volunteer Community Volunteer Leaders, and to work in a flexible, change-managed environment. Proficiency in MS Office is necessary, and experience with Salesforce is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of local issues, cultures, and demographics, and a proven ability to engage and collaborate with local community members and organizations.
