Job Description

The Electrical Drafting Department is looking for a dynamic problem solver to work with us in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is responsible for using CAD programs to create electrical schematics and layouts for shop fabrication and customer submittal packages.

• Diligent and detail oriented with a can-do attitude
• Understanding and implementing designs from One-Line Diagrams and PLC I/O Lists
• Responsible for preparing new drawings and revising existing engineering drawings such as electrical one-lines, three-lines, control drawings, and panel layout drawings
• Responsible for adhering to company and client engineering standards and procedures
• Interacting with the shop to ensure drawings are correct and easy to follow
• Attending company meetings

Requirements

• High-School diploma required, drafting associate degree or field electrical experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical specifics to peers and customers
• Excellent writing skills for creating drawing notes and instructions
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Focus and concentration to understand a range of Control DC Electrical to 3 Phase Medium Voltage Schematics and Layouts
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Excellent time management skills
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, and Outlook
• AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred.
