Objective: Cleaning dishes to ensure the dining hall & kitchen has clean plates, silverware, pots, pans, and glassware

Reports to:  Sous Chef

Pre-Employment Qualifications:

• Please note: This is a seasonal position that will continue only as long as there are groups to serve, typically concluding by the end of August.

• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
• Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays

Summary of Experience Required for Position

• No previous experience necessary

Knowledge, Skills, and Job Duty Requirements upon Completion of Training

• Washes, stacks, and stores, glassware, serveware, cookware, & storage containers using the appropriate food safety standard
• Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.
• Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
• Maintains clean and dry floor throughout their shift

· Changes water of machines and sinks every 2 hours (or more often based on business levels or food safety code)

· Properly uses chemical dilutions set by the appropriate food safety codes.

• Preparing dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and prep stations.
• Cleans machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as stoves, pots, pans, mixers, etc.
• Unloading and storing deliveries
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Using kitchen equipment safely
• Maintains trash cans throughout shift; removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and dining room.
• Stand on feet for extended periods of time
• Work in variable hot and cold environments
• Follows the posted dish cleaning duties checklist
• Follows the posted dish washer opening and closing checklists, as needed
• Available to perform many different tasks during each shift, including but not limited to the listed job duties
