The Director, Government Relations, will serve as the agency’s principal liaison with the D.C. Council, District agencies, and community organizations, aiming to increase the impact of ODCA’s reports and recommendations. Responsibilities include building relationships, promoting ODCA activities, advocating for recommendations, analyzing government programs and budgets, managing performance indicators, overseeing compliance reports, supporting leadership on projects, and other duties as assigned.
The position requires a high level of discretion due to the confidential and political nature of the work. ODCA values work-life balance and offers options for remote work and virtual meetings. Some travel within the District is expected.
An advanced degree in history, political science, public administration, or related field, or a minimum of nine years of relevant experience.
