We are currently seeking a Deliver Driver/Furniture Installer to work full-time at our Dallas Distribution Center. If you are a hard worker, have a clear driver license and can drive a delivery truck, have experience working in a warehouse, and are actively seeking employment, then we would like to speak with you. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Load furniture orders onto truck and delivers product to customer; completes furniture assembly/installation as per installation specifications to meet customer satisfaction; inspects furniture for proper operability according to manufacturer's guidelines
  • Install all types of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems; this includes placement, leveling, wipe-down, and touch-up of metal and wood furniture at customer location
  • Completes all required furniture service/repair paperwork (warranty or non-warranty)
  • Unload incoming furniture trucks using warehouse equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jack)
  • Follow all safety procedures in the performance to job duties Directs the delivery department following company policy, procedure, and guidelines
  • Ability to be D.O.T. certified with a good driving record and physically qualified to drive by passing a D.O.T. physical
  • Good knowledge of metro area
  • Prior experience with hand truck/dolly type equipment; on-the-job training for pallet jack and OSHA training for stand-up lift is required
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to read and construction blueprints and CAD installation drawings
  • Demonstrated competence related to writing installation project and problem reports
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form
  • Excellent customer service skills, conducting customer contact in a professional and courteous manner
  • When in house perform all warehouse functions assigned re: receiving, stage, pre stock, and ship out
  • Complete truck safety inspections and maintain truck cleanliness and organization of tools and blankets

Requirements

Only candidates with a clear driving record, furniture installation and delivery driver/warehouse experience will be considered.

The ideal candidate is an individual with requirements:

  • 2-5 years of warehouse and delivery truck driver experience (Furniture installation is required)
  • Must have a clean, valid GA driver license
  • Must have a clear pre employment drug screen and background check
  • Heavy lifting is mandatory in this position
  • Good communication skills
  • Bilingual with Spanish a plus
