🔍 Position Summary
Amergis is seeking a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) to provide substance use counseling services to incarcerated individuals at Arrowhead Correctional Facility. This is a meaningful opportunity to support rehabilitation and recovery in a secure, team-based environment
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individual and group counseling for substance use disorders
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with psychologists, LCSWs, LPCs, and other clinical staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and case notes
- Support patient rehabilitation and reintegration goals
📋 Qualifications
- Licensure : Active LAC license in Colorado (required)
- Certifications : BLS (required); SOMB certification preferred but not required
- Experience : Prior experience in drug and alcohol counseling strongly preferred
- Background : Must pass CDOC background check
📄 Submission Requirements
- 10-page CDOC background packet
- Consent to Search form
- Statement of Compliance form
- Copy of driver’s license

- Setting : Correctional facility (male population)
- Patient Volume : ~10 patients/day
- Support Team : Staff psychologist, LCSWs, LPCs
- EMR : Not specified
📞 Interview & Onboarding
- Interview : Google Meet video interview with Health Services Administrator (HSA)
- Orientation : 1–2 weeks of online training and job shadowing
- Onboarding Time : ~3–4 weeks for background clearance
