This attorney will report to the Assistant General Counsel, Intellectual Property, Technology and Information Law. This position is a full time on-site role and does not allow for a teleworking/hybrid teleworking work schedule./ppSpecific responsibilities include:/pulliCollaborating with and providing strategic counseling to law department colleagues, business partners, and management on a wide range of complex IP issues/liliApplying expertise in government contract IP matters, commercial transactions, software and other IP licensing, managing global patent and trademark portfolios, protecting information, and managing IP enforcement actions, and managing outside counsel/liliDevelop understanding of Company and Sectors business, products and technologies relating to electronics and software/liliProviding thought leadership, driving development and implementation of enterprise-level strategic IP initiatives/liliMonitoring developments in policy, legal and regulatory requirements in IP and advising leadership and business partners on best practices/liliDeveloping and conducting enterprise-wide training on IP topics/li/ulpWe are seeking a candidate with the following background:/pulliHighly motivated individual with strong analytical and process-development skills, clear and strategic thinking, exceptional judgment, sense of accountability, integrity and a record of managing complex IP matters/liliAbility to provide accurate, timely, and pragmatic advice/liliExcellent oral and written communication skills/liliAbility to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment, with the ability to engage and motivate others through thought leadership/liliStrong time-management and organizational skills, responsiveness, and a demonstrated ability to balance multiple competing priorities/li/ulpBasic Qualifications:/pulliJuris Doctor degree and Bachelors degree in a relevant scientific field/liliActive state bar membership and registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office/liliAt least 8 years IP experience in a law firm, government, or as in-house counsel/liliExperience in IP-related transactions and negotiations, and/or protecting and enforcing IP rights including patents, trade secrets, data, software, trademarks, and copyrights/liliExperience working closely with other lawyers, technologists and business leaders on IP issues/liliU.S. citizenship required. Candidates must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliExperience with software and other IP licensing/liliDegree in electrical engineering or computer science/liliSignificant experience with U.S. government contract IP regulations (FAR and DFARS) and complex issues relating to technical data and computer software/liliExperience with international IP issues and transactions/liliExperience developing and managing global IP portfolios/liliActive DoD Secret level security clearance/li/ulpPrimary Level Salary Range: $206,900.00 - $297,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
