Contract Design Engineer 

$30-$33 an hour!

Mon-Friday (6:30am-3:00pm)

Columbus, IN

Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a manufacturer in Columbus, IN who is looking to add a Contract Design Engineer to their team! They are looking for candidates who have experience utilizing Catia/ SolidWorks and creating 2D/3D designs requested by customers.

Responsibilities:

• Design new engineering products and processes
• Craft models and drawings of products using CAD
• Analyze prototype data and retest if needed
• Research new product ideas and methods
• Improve existing products and processes
• Ensure compliance with the industry’s safety standards
• Maintain accurate records
• Ensure products are user- and environment-friendly
• Write detailed reports
• Find creative design solutions to problems
• Present prototypes and designs to customers and project managers

Knowledge/ Skills:

• CAD
• Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively express ideas.
• Ability to complete independent tasks or tasks within a team.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• FEA a plus.
• Innovative thinker – able to envision new and better ways to do things.
• Excellent analytic skills, ability to plan, organize and implement multiple concurrent tasks.
• Ability to use small hand tools, diagnose and resolve design problems once installed on final product.
