We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our client’s team. This role involves providing high-quality cardiovascular care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
*Key Responsibilities:*
Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients in both hospital and clinic settings.
Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions, including hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease.
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms in collaboration with cardiologists.
Assist in hospital rounds, patient admissions, and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Educate patients and families on cardiovascular health, disease management, and preventive care.
Prescribe medications, order tests, and provide treatment based on evidence-based guidelines.
Collaborate with a team of healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and coordinate follow-up care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR).
*Requirements:*
* Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) with a focus on Advanced Practice Nursing.
* Current board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Cardiology, Adult-Gerontology, or Family Medicine.
* Active and unrestricted NP license in NJ.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in cardiology or a related specialty preferred.
* Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent patient communication.
