We’re looking for a Building Engineer to join our dynamic team and ensure the smooth operation of our commercial building. As the go-to person for all things related to building maintenance, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our building in top-notch condition, ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our tenants. If you have a practical mindset, keen attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot & Repair: Resolve issues with building systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment.
  • Maintenance & Equipment Care: Maintain and repair a variety of building equipment, such as pumps, valves, electrical devices, and more.
  • Install & Adjust Systems: Assist with installing and adjusting building systems as needed.
  • Repairs: Tackle repairs on building finishes, including ceiling tiles, doors, walls, floors, and hardware. Painting included!
  • Improve Processes: Evaluate maintenance processes and recommend improvements to save time and resources.
  • Emergency Response: Be ready to address emergency situations and tenant requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Regular Inspections: Inspect the building and grounds regularly for safety hazards, maintenance needs, and compliance with regulations.
  • Fire & Life Safety: Operate and maintain fire and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Code & Regulation Compliance: Ensure all building operations follow local codes, regulations, and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with a variety of tools and equipment used in building maintenance.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and computers to manage tasks and stay organized.
  • Customer Service: Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to our tenants.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to identify and solve problems quickly while maintaining high standards.
