Roper Staffing is looking for a night shift Boiler Operator to join our team! The Boiler Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the boiler system used in the treatment of wood poles. This role ensures the boiler runs efficiently, safely, and complies with safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Boiler Operation:
  Operate and monitor boilers to generate steam for pressure treating wood poles, ensuring optimal pressure and temperature.

• Wood Treatment:
  Oversee the application of preservatives to wood poles, ensuring effective treatment and preservation.

• Maintenance:
  Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the boiler system, troubleshoot issues, and maintain cleanliness.

• Safety & Compliance:
  Ensure compliance with safety regulations, monitor safety equipment, and follow environmental guidelines.

• Record Keeping:
  Keep accurate logs of boiler performance, maintenance, and treatment processes.

• Energy Efficiency:
  Monitor fuel consumption and optimize boiler efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Experience operating industrial boilers, preferably in wood treatment or lumber yards.
• Mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Knowledge of safety protocols for boiler operation.
• Boiler Operator certification (preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in an industrial environment with exposure to high heat and heavy equipment.
