We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the newly created role of Assistant Controller, reporting directly to the Corporate Controller. In this pivotal position, you will support the development and management of a domestic and an international accounting team, ensuring precise and timely financial reporting for Auterion. Your deep expertise in financial accounting will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency and fostering the continued growth of our business.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting within our Netsuite ERP system
• Lead and oversee all operational and GL accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
• Ensure that all foreign subsidiary transactions and month end account balances are properly reflected in the consolidated general ledger as prescribed by GAAP
• Develop and maintain internal financial controls and process documentation
• Assist in preparing for audits and liaise with external auditors and consultants.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align finance operations with business goals.
• Drive process improvements, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Participate in the evaluation and implementation of financial systems and tools.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and scalability initiatives.
• Play a pivotal role in building out the accounting and finance team as the company scales, mentoring and developing team members
• Adapt to various roles within the organization, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to take on multiple responsibilities as needed

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA Required
• 10+ years of experience including 5+ years of management experience within a high growth corporate accounting department. Prior startup experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, multi-entity environments and experience with managing financial audits.
• Experience with NetSuite and advanced Excel skills is a big plus.
• Experience in scaling finance functions in a high-growth or start-up environment.
• Familiarity with SaaS metrics, subscription-based revenue models, and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across teams and levels.
• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to work at a detailed level and to interact effectively with all levels within the organization
• A highly productive self-starter with very strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
• Strong accountability and detail oriented; prepares accurate and timely work products
• Strong interpersonal, communication and messaging skills
