Description

Marketing:

  • Partner with the Creative Director to drive concept and design for Tier A projects
  • Partner with the Creative Director to concept and kick-off projects with design team, clients or both, leading team through brainstorms and kickoff meetings to jump start the creative process
  • Drive the concept design process, ensuring the team creates beautiful comps that clearly convey ideas, giving feedback and mentorship for Tier B projects

Catalog Client

  • Direct the production of above-mentioned concepts, ensuring client expectations are met
  • Lead the design team in bringing the Creative Director’s vision to life for the layout and design of kids catalogs
  • Work closely with the second Creative Director on additional catalog projects
  • Collaborate with other art directors, photographers, stylists, and designers to ensure a cohesive visual presentation throughout catalogs
  • Oversee and approve final designs throughout the proofing and production process

In General

  • Collaborate with other department managers to execute food styling, photography, and/or color correction for misc. clients whenever necessary
  • Develop strong client relationships, suggesting new ideas and positioning MITTERA as a valuable partner
  • Communicate vision and concepts to both internal and external audiences

Requirements

  • Significant experience art directing projects from concept to completion
  • Experience art directing photo shoots (food, home, model etc)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of design, communications, marketing or advertising
  • 7 or more years of related work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in management of creative team members
  • Experience developing strong client relationships with the mentality that a client’s success is MITTERA’S success
  • Resilient to fast-paced environments where tight deadlines and large deliverables are the norm
  • Ability to react on the fly, producing creative and leading a team to work quickly, efficiently and accurately
  • Proven success with time management skills
  • Advanced skills in Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience working with photographers, prop, wardrobe and food stylists to execute ideas without constant oversight
