Architectural Designer for our
Houston, TX office location to support the Federal practice.

The ideal candidate will possess: Architectural Designer or Registered Architect with 5-15 years of experience in a lead architectural role on projects from concept through construction completion.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture; Master's in Architecture preferred.
- Experienced in programming, working through creative solutions with the client, schematic design, design development, developing construction documents and specifications, and supporting projects through construction administration.
- Experience in government buildings preferred but not required.
- Revit/BIM experience required.
- Experienced and comfortable working directly with the client providing timely updates on project status, discussing project scope, etc.
- Demonstrates a customer service focus.
- Ability to work within a team environment working with individuals from various offices and in various disciplines.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, professional writing skills and the ability to multi-task between several projects and priorities at one time.
- Candidate should also be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
- Some travel may be required.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
Responsibilities will include: - Architectural design and documentation of various project types responsibilities of the lead architect role include code research, programming, client interfacing, design, documentation, specifications, and construction administration including field visits to projects.
- Due diligence and planning approvals on occasion including permitting research, submittals, and follow-up.
- Supporting the Project Manager with client meetings and correspondence.
- Researching design solutions and industry best practices.
- Coordination with all disciplines of design including our in house engineers, designers, renderers as well as outside consultants.
- Coordinating other field services such as land and building surveys, environmental studies, and geotechnical studies.
- Building Assessments and Building Surveys
- Project documentation/administration.
- Construction administration.
