Your Impact on our Mission

We believe great engineers can learn AI, which is why we're looking for a Staff Software Engineer who's excited about growing into AI development. No prior AI experience required we'll provide on-the-job experience and mentorship. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced software engineer to transition into AI development while working with a specialized team within Zocdoc. You will partner with our Co-Founder as well as some of our most senior and tenured engineers on a new initiative and fast-growing product.

Your day to day is

• Building and maintaining high-quality software that will gradually incorporate AI capabilities
• Learning how to work with LLMs while continuing to deliver solid engineering work
• Designing scalable, maintainable applications using modern software practices
• Collaborating with Zocdocs most talented engineers to learn and gradually take on AI-related projects
• Contributing to the end-to-end development of consumer-facing products
• Building products designed to scale quickly

Youll be successful in this role if you have

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with a strong proficiency in C#
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• An ownership mindset and a proven track record of learning new technologies quickly
• Enthusiasm and passion for learning AI/ML technologies
• Analytical horsepower and a natural curiosity
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Zocdoc is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Salary ranges are determined through alignment with market data. Base salary offered is determined by a number of factors including the candidates experience, qualifications, and skills. Certain positions are also eligible for variable pay and/or equity; your recruiter will discuss the full compensation package details. NYC Base Salary Range $176,000 $264,000 USD
